I joined a fun little bootcamp this week. (And by "fun" I really mean butt-kicking, blood-pumping, hard as heck, in the "I might have a heart attack" sort of way.)

I attended my first bootcamp workout Monday, and it was intense. It was also awesome. I was so hot and sweaty, I had to take my hoodie off. That's something I never (ever, ever, ever) do. I always wear a hoodie when I workout, because, honestly, I am extremely self-conscious. I like to keep all my bits and pieces fully covered. (And, yes, I realize I am my own worst critic. Aren't we all?)
Anyway, I took my hoodie off for two reasons:
- There's a pretty good chance I was about to drop dead from some kind of heat-related something or another. Well, not really. But geeeeeze, I felt like my face was about to burn right off my head. (Keep in mind, this "about to die" feeling is apparently a good thing. It's called "working out." Like, for real.)
- Exercising with an encouraging, supportive group of women is just awesome. I felt comfortable taking my hoodie off, because I knew my fellow bootcampers weren't judging me or my post-pregnancy "leftovers." These women are the kind of workout buddies I want to be around, thankyouverymuch.
That, and this awesome post-workout group photo...

Proud of you sister!!
I want a free 7 week bootcamp. :)
You're already down 5lbs... With bootcamp {and maybe another run of the flu}, you will be down in no time, lady!!
I've been slacking lately... need to get my rear in gear!
Wow! Thats awesome that she's offering a free 7 week bootcamp. So glad you're enjoying the work-out! I need to work out myself, but just have no motivation to do it.
Um! This is awesome. Which time and location are you going to? Maybe I can figure out how to come too if it fits into our schedule.
That's awesome! Keep up the good work!! :)
Way to go, friend!!! This is awesome! I so want to join with you! It's getting hot, humid and gross here in Houston, which makes going on walks [my only form of exercise....perhaps that's my problem...hmmmm] much less appealing.
I'm so glad you found a group of girls that you can just be "you" around. Hard to come by!
And you are crazy adorable and look FANTASTIC already, so yes, you are most certainly being too hard on yourself! But, I know just what you mean... it's hard to look in the mirror and not see what *exactly* what you did pre-pregnancy. Damn babies. Hahahahaha!!!!!!
xoxo. happy thursday!
Melinda - Loved meeting you on Monday (was in the black capris and blue Duke shirt). Keep it up!
Yeah, that’s amazing! You must not let that free boot camp pass without losing any weight. So, how was the whole session? Did you lose the 15 pounds that you set? I’m positive that you lost more than 15 pounds, am I right? If you want to maintain your weight, you must have your own workout routine that you can do at home. ->Kristine Remsen
