Motherly Wisdom

Attention mother-bears: you must read this blog post written by Sarah Mae at Stretching into Blue. If you haven't clicked over already, here's a taste:
Facebook statuses and blog posts where everyone’s children are happy and cute and “hahahaha” are just the pretty side of the painting. The art is beautiful, but creating it is messing, and time-consuming, and painstaking.
Amen, girl. Amen.

After you've read it yourself, email it to your husband. He needs to read it, too.

I can't take credit for finding this perfectly-written gem of wisdom. My very good friend, Brittany at The Cha Cha Chronicles posted the link yesterday.
Brittany and her family. Could they be any cuter?
Brittany has been an on-again, off-again blogger for several years. Lucky for us, she's on-again right now. So, visit her blog. Then, become a follower. Then, help me encourage her to keep blogging.(Seriously. Do it!)

Brittany is a deep thinker. Someone who offers real insight into life and motherhood. Sure, she posts lots of fun photos of her handsome boys, but her blog is about much more. I hope you'll show her a little love.

In other random motherly news...

I decided recently that I was paying way too much for infant formula. So, I switched to Target brand. It's the exact same formula that I was already using. Except much cheaper. Ya live. Ya learn.

I'm currently testing out Target brand diapers. They definitely aren't as soft as Pampers, but they get the job done, I suppose. Honestly, I think I'll switch back to Pampers. Little Miss is so advanced she'll be potty trained soon, anyway. (Kidding, of course.)

How's that for a post full of mommy ramblings?! Geeze. (My child-less friends are all rolling their eyes and talking about me behind my back, I'm sure.) Perhaps I need to find another topic of interest.

Wow! What a sweet, sweet surprise!! I was all like, "Yay, Melinda blogged!" and then I was like "Wow, there's a picture of my family!" :) Big smiles you made this morning, friend, big smiles! Thank you so much for your encouragement!!

Jumping over to read her motherhood post now. :)

And Target diapers are a hit or miss for me. If you live around a Babies R Us, their brand is about the same price as Target, but better quality.

And yes, I am now going to join this UP & UP brand formula. Any way to save some moo-la. :)

We love the target diapers and wipes. I still use a pampers at night for better protection, but target diapers the rest of the time. I should have tried the formula!

I'm reading those posts in just a sec - can't wait!!!

As for the Target brand formula --- we LOVE it!! I switched really early on to that from Enfamil and am SO stinking glad! We've been happy w/ it and the savings rocks.

I too have tried the Target diapers and was so hoping they'd be great...but, I haven't been impressed. I switched back to Pamper's Baby Dry (I order through Amazon Mom) and am much happier and they're actually cheaper!

I CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR ABOUT THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
