Hello Springtime (and a bunch of random stuff)

Happy first day of spring, y'all!

It feels more like summer in East Tennessee. With temperatures in the 80s, I am trying not to complain. But I do wish Mother Nature would turn on the AC. A spring-like 70 degrees would be fabulous.

Sorry I was MIA on the ol' blog yesterday. I was tiiiiired after spending the entire weekend baby-free, celebrating my birthday (as well as two other March birthdays) with my best friends. A full recap of the ridiculousness is coming soon, but until then, here's a little teaser:
Yea, that's an airbrush t-shirt. Just keepin' it classy, ya know. The theme for the weekend: Party Like it's 2005. And that's exactly what we did. I got less sleep over the weekend than I normally do with my sweet little angel baby waking me up three times per night. I need another baby-free day to recover from my baby-free weekend!

Speaking of BG (Baby Girl). She's 10 months old now (as of yesterday), and I can hardly believe it. Such a big kid these days!
I swear, she gets prettier and prettier every single day.
Yes, I am already thinking about birthday party ideas. No, it will not be over-the-top. There's a fine line between throwing a fun birthday for a one-year-old and going way overboard (with time, money, etc.) to create some ridiculously extravagant party the child won't even remember. (Sorry. Just my opinion.)

Something I'm no longer planning: Elena's wedding to Marshall Manning (son of famed quarterback, Peyton). Papa-bear Manning chose Denver over Nashville yesterday, breaking the hearts of thousands of Tennessee fans. See, I had sorta banked on little Marshall Manning being the quarterback at UT someday. Marshall and Elena are the same age. So, naturally, they'd meet on campus, fall in love, ya-da, ya-da, ya-da. Here comes the bride. Now, I'm doubting my plan a bit. Obviously, it would have been a done deal if Peyton (woudla, coulda, shoulda) chose the Titans instead of the Broncos. But nooooo.
I don't have the photo credit for this. It's currently circulating on Facebook.
Whatever, Peyton. Have fun in Denver. UT fans still love you. We can't not love you. And, there's still a chance Marshall will choose Tennessee. Granted, our football team has to stop being terrible between now and then.
