Needless to say, I've been feeling pretty sorry for myself this week.
Being sick and pregnant is complicated. After trying all the home remedies (hot shower, relaxing bath, soup, hot tea, orange juice, etc.), I finally called the doctor to ask about getting real relief (i.e. drugs). I knew I was allowed to take Tylenol, but apparently I can also take Sudafed and Robitussin (DM only). Hearing this news was music to my ears. And while I felt a bit uneasy about putting drugs in my pregnant body, you better believe I ripped open a box of Sudafed (which is a miracle drug, by the way).
After sleep, Sudafed and a few desperate prayers, I am feeling much, much better this afternoon. And it's a good thing, because I have big plans for the weekend. I'm headed to Atlanta tonight for a relaxing weekend with some of my favorite people on the planet.
These people:
I need this little getaway. And aside from my health-related set-back, a weekend away couldn't have come at a better time (remember my meltdown the other day?).
Happy weekend, friends! Hope yours is fabulous (and germ-free)!

Hello. I stumbled upon your blog when doing a Google search for pink and gray nurseries. I'm also due in May, on the 31st. It's our 1st and we're having a girl too. I have a blog too.

Anyways, I just thought I'd say hello and that I LOVE your nursery ideas. I thought we were set on owls but I'm thinking of changing it.
Hi Dawn! Thanks for the sweet comment. Congrats on your baby girl! Aren't you just SO excited?! I'll have to take a look at your blog and track your pregnancy progress! Only a few more months for us! =)
