I've mentioned a time or two that my mister loves to cook. But he doesn't just enjoy experimenting with culinary creations; he's really stinkin' good at it too. It's kind of like I'm living in an episode of "Throwdown" with Bobby Flay.
Bobby (a super famous chef, if you're unfamiliar) is a family favorite at the Collins house. Jonathan enjoys recreating Bobby's gourmet deliciousness. And I love to eat it. Clearly, we have ourselves a win/win situation.
Last weekend, Jonathan whipped together (and by "whipped together" I really mean slaved over a hot stove for a few hours) one of our all-time favorite Bobby meals. We pigged out indulged on yummy pork tenderloin and tamales. It's one of the most popular dishes at Bobby's famed restaurant, Mesa Grill. (We dined at Mesa Grill when we were in Vegas last summer and loved the pork tenderloin dish.)
Jonathan's Creation:
New Mexican rubbed pork tenderloin with bourbon ancho sauce, served with sweet potato tamales with maple pecan butter.
