Jonathan and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day anymore. When we were teenagers (and even in college), the holiday was a big, huge deal. Roses, candy, stuffed animals. The whole nine. Fast forward 15 years, and the day just doesn't seem so important. Especially since every day feels like Valentine's for me. I know, I know; cheesy mcsqueezie. But it's kind of true. Jonathan is so good to me. I am one lucky girl.
Case in point: Sunday morning when I rolled out of bed, my Mr. was already hard at work in the kitchen, cooking a to-die-for breakfast.
We enjoyed blue cornmeal blueberry pancakes (made with vanilla bean paste, vanilla scented sugar and orange zest) topped with with blueberry coulis (made of blueberries, raspberries and cinnamon), maple cinnamon walnut butter and maple syrup.
Pretty ridiculous, I know.
Needless to say, it was very, very tasty.
Sweets from my sweet!
Deliciousness!
Happy Valentine's Day, friends!
I hope you get something sweet from your sweetheart!

My boyfriend who doesn't believe in Valentine's Day because "every day is Valentine's Day" sent me Lilies! I was so surprised!! Jonny's pancakes look de-lic-ious indeed.
